Change background opacity
Select the background layer in the timeline (it sits under foreground assets).
In the Asset panel on the right, open the Appearance section.
Adjust Opacity until the background looks right.

Select the media asset in the timeline you want to adjust.
In the Asset panel on the right, open the Appearance section.
Adjust Opacity until the element looks right.
Tips
Lower background opacity to keep focus on text or key visuals.
Place a semi-transparent shape behind text to improve readability.
Pair opacity changes with animations (such as fade) for smoother transitions.
