How to change background or foreground opacity

Adjusting opacity in VideoGen helps balance your visuals—making backgrounds more subtle or foreground elements like text and shapes stand out.

Change Background Opacity

  1. Select the background layer in the timeline, which sits beneath the foreground assets.

  2. In the Edit Asset panel on the right, navigate to the Appearance section.

  3. Adjust the opacity until the background blends the way you want.


Change Foreground Opacity

  1. Select a media asset in the timeline you want to adjust.

  2. In the Edit Asset panel on the right, navigate to the Appearance section.

  3. Adjust the opacity until the element looks the way you want.


Tips

  • Lower background opacity to keep the focus on text or key visuals.

  • Add a semi-transparent shape behind text for better readability.

  • Combine opacity with animations (like fade) for smooth transitions.
