Creating videos with VideoGen is quick and intuitive. Simply choose a workflow, customize your project, generate your video, and make final edits before sharing or downloading.
This tutorial walks you through the steps to create your first video using the Script to video workflow.
Step 1: Create a new project
Sign in to https://app.videogen.io and click + New Project.
Step 2: Choose your workflow
Select the workflow that best fits your project.
In this guide, we'll use Script to Video as an example.
VideoGen also offers other workflows for creating videos from ideas, voiceovers, prompts, recordings, slides, AI prompts, and more.
Step 3: Configure your visual style
Choose how you'd like your visuals to be generated.
You can:
Select a Visual Style.
Write a Custom Style.
Use Stock Videos by clicking AI Image Standard and selecting Library.
You can also configure the following project settings:
AI Image Quality
Pacing
Screen Ratio
Preset
Once you're satisfied with your settings, click Continue in the top-right corner.
Step 4: Create or edit your script
You'll now be taken to the AI Script page.
Here, you can:
Write your script from scratch.
Get writing suggestions from the AI Assistant in the left panel.
Attach files or scan websites by clicking the + button.
Paste your own script directly into the editor.
You can also customize your project by changing:
AI Voiceover
Avatar
Captions
Screen Ratio
Visual Style
Post Production settings
When you're ready, click Generate Video.
Step 5: Preview and finalize your video
Once generation is complete, you'll be taken to the Preview screen where you can immediately review your video.
From here, you can:
Edit — Open the video in the Project Editor to make further changes.
Restart — Start over using the same workflow.
Share — Share your project or download/export your video.
You can also provide feedback about your generated video using the Creative Assistant in the left panel.
