How to apply section layouts

Choose a layout for each section to control how visuals and text appear. Switch layouts anytime; changes apply automatically.

  1. Open the Outline screen.

  2. In the Visuals panel on the right, find the section you are editing.

  3. Click Layout for that section.

  4. Pick one of the available layouts.

  5. Repeat for other sections as needed. Updates apply automatically.


Available layouts

  • Auto
    VideoGen picks a layout based on your content.
    Best when you want a quick default or prefer not to tune every section.

  • Full Screen Media
    One image or video fills the frame.
    Use for intros, hero shots, or product reveals.

  • Simple Title
    Title and subtitle on a simple background.
    Use for chapter breaks or clean section headers.

  • Hero Title
    Title text over a background image or video.
    Use for bold openers or branded slides.

  • Split (Text Left / Text Right)
    Visuals on one side, text on the other.
    Use for explainers, tutorials, and teaching content.

  • Lower Thirds
    Text along the lower third over media.
    Use for names, quotes, or short callouts.

  • Simple Text
    Text-first layout with optional supporting visuals.
    Use for instructions, lists, or minimal on-screen text.


Tips

  • Vary layouts to keep the video engaging.

  • Use the same layout for related sections for a consistent look.

  • Preview the video after changing layouts to check pacing and readability.
