When to use

Use this when you want to:

  • Make a clip appear longer or shorter

  • Match visuals to narration timing

  • Adjust pacing between scenes

  • Fix clips that feel too fast or too slow

Steps

  1. Open your project in the Project Editor.

  2. Select the clip in the timeline that you want to adjust.

  3. Drag the edge of the clip left or right to shorten or extend its duration.

  4. Preview the section to confirm the new timing.

The clip will now play for the updated length.
