The left sidebar is where you switch between the main editing tools in the VideoGen editor.
What the left sidebar is
The left sidebar is the editor's main tools area. It includes a tab bar and a larger content panel that updates based on the tool you select.
Available tools include Script, Remix, Create, AI, Text, Captions, Music, Record, Slides, and Themes.
How it works
When you select a tool, the content area opens the controls for that part of your workflow.
Script shows your script and section list.
Remix lets you apply bulk updates.
Create allows you to add media or generate AI content.
AI focuses on generative tools.
Captions provides subtitle styling options.
Music lets you insert audio tracks.
Record opens recording tools.
Slides displays all sections in a slide-style overview.
Themes controls branding and visual styling.
When to use it
Use the left sidebar when you want to switch editing modes, add content, or move to a different part of the editing workflow.
It is the main place to move between writing, creating, recording, and organizing your video.
On smaller screens
On smaller screens, the editor switches between Tools and Preview views instead of showing the full desktop layout at once.
The left sidebar remains the main entry point for editing tools in the Tools view. For more on inserting and managing media, see Asset tools overview.
