Captions in VideoGen are generated from your script or voiceover. To change what captions say, edit the source text. To change how they look, use the Captions tab.
Edit caption wording
Captions follow your spoken script. To change the words:
Open the Script tab in the left sidebar.
Find the section with the caption text you want to change.
Edit the script text directly.
Regenerate the voiceover if needed.
The updated script becomes the new caption text after generation.
Edit caption style
To change how captions look:
Open the Captions tab in the left sidebar.
Choose a preset style or customize font, color, size, and position.
Preview your changes on the canvas.
Style changes apply to captions across the project.
Show or hide captions
To toggle caption visibility for a clip:
Select the asset in the timeline.
In the right panel, find the Captions toggle.
Turn captions on or off for that asset.
Important notes
For AI voiceover (text-to-speech), edit the script to change caption words.
For uploaded audio with transcription, the transcript is read-only. To change it, replace the audio or re-record.
Pronunciation replacements affect how words are spoken but do not change how they appear in captions.
