Export formats and settings

Choose resolution and visibility when exporting your video.

When you export a video in VideoGen, you can choose the resolution and whether the video is public or private. All exports are delivered as MP4 files.

Export resolutions

VideoGen offers four export resolutions:

  • 480p — Good for quick previews or low-bandwidth sharing

  • 720p — Standard HD, works well for most uses

  • 1080p — Full HD, recommended for professional videos

  • 4K — Ultra HD, best for large displays or high-quality presentations

The resolution you choose determines the minimum dimension of the exported video. Higher resolutions produce larger files and take longer to process.

File format

All exports are delivered as MP4 files. This format is widely compatible with video players, social media platforms, and presentation software.

Visibility settings

When exporting for download, you can choose:

  • Private — Only you and your team can view the video

  • Public — Anyone with the link can view the video

When creating a shareable view link, the video is automatically set to public.

How to export

  1. Click Share in the top right corner of the editor.

  2. Choose Download or Create shareable view link.

  3. Select your preferred resolution.

  4. Click Export video.

After processing, you will be redirected to the view page where you can download or share your video.

Processing time

Higher resolutions take longer to process. If you need a quick preview, start with 720p. You can always re-export at a higher resolution later.

The view page will show “Processing higher resolution for download” if a higher quality version is still being prepared.
