Cropping lets you reframe an image or video without replacing it. This is useful when you want to tighten the composition or remove unwanted edges.

Steps

  1. Open your project in the editor.

  2. Select the image or video on the canvas.

  3. Double-click the asset to enter Crop mode.

  4. Drag the crop area to reframe the part of the asset you want to keep visible.

  5. Click outside the asset to confirm the crop and exit crop mode.

When to use

  • Remove empty edges or distractions

  • Center the subject more clearly in the frame

  • Adjust framing without uploading a new asset

Tips

  • Cropping is different from resizing. Resize changes how large the asset appears, while crop changes which part of it is visible.

  • After cropping, you can still reposition and resize the asset on the canvas.

  • If the framing still feels off, try combining crop with layer order or position adjustments.
