How to get started as a VideoGen Affiliate.

Welcome to our Affiliate Program! I wrote this guide to help you get started as a VideoGen Affiliate. The goal is to give you a solid foundation for understanding why we created VideoGen and how to make the most of the VideoGen Affiliate Program.

The reason I share this story is to communicate our broader mission and to inspire you to grow with us as a VideoGen Affiliate.

In the summer of 2022, my friend and I were living together in San Francisco, juggling full-time jobs by day and working on a startup by night. We were rising Juniors in college, set on building a platform for content creators to engage with their fans.

But dreams don’t always take off. Our platform never saw the light of day.

So, we gave up. We gave up on our startup to pursue internships at fancy tech firms. Just like that, our dreams of building something from scratch – something that could impact millions of people – were gone.

That friend was David, someone I had known since middle school through a tennis clinic. David and I both had a passion for technology since a young age, having written our first lines of code at 6 and 11 years old respectively. We grew up after the Internet Boom: in a world where anyone could post a video on social media, build a following, and turn their following into thriving businesses.

We saw this firsthand: First, growing up watching our favorite YouTubers, and then through hundreds of conversations with content creators and influencers as we were working on our first startup.

Established businesses started following suit, seeing the newfound success of many content creators. Videos weren't just videos anymore—they were marketing tools, educational resources, news media, and so much more. The true power lied in video a communication medium. It was simply more engaging, more sharable, and more accessible than any other content format.

However, there was a problem. People were stuck using video editing software that was designed in the 1990s and clumsily adapted for modern computers. Making a half-decent video meant spending thousands of dollars on gear, re-recording over and over again, and endlessly searching through expensive, exclusive stock footage libraries. It was a painful and tedious process.

We knew there had to be a better way, so David and I turned our backs on our tech jobs and decided to tackle the problem head-on, re-igniting our entrepreneurial dreams. We pooled together our savings from our internships to fund our dream—just over $20,000, which felt like our entire world at the time. We called it VideoGen, a platform that would make video creation quick, easy, and painless for everyone.

Before we dive into the product, all Affiliates should understand the basics of our program's referral system and commission structure.

The actual prices might change, but this should give you a rough idea of how many referrals you need to hit your goals.

To sell VideoGen, you need to find someone who is having problems creating videos and offer VideoGen as the solution to their problem (using your referral link).

This process ensures that what you're doing is both effective and ethical. A great affiliate marketer is like a great matchmaker: matching the right customer to the right product at the right time.

First, I will explain what types of people are facing problems creating videos. Then, I will explain where you can find these people online. Lastly, I will break down how you can promote VideoGen to these people using your referral link.

Marketers need to create promotional videos for social media, paid advertisements, and more.

Many educators (teachers, professors, course makers etc.) are trying to bring their material online and make it more accessible. Video is more engaging and can lead to higher comprehension than text. However, educators are usually not experienced with complex video editing software and don't want to deal with the headaches of creating a video.

Corporate employee is a very generic term, but essentially anyone who needs to create video presentations for work can benefit from VideoGen. Videos are becoming as common as slideshows, but the process of creating one is time-consuming and overwhelming.

Many of these people will earn $30+ per hour in the US. VideoGen has the potential to save them several hours per week that would normally be spent creating videos, freeing up valuable time and making VideoGen's affordable price well worth it.

The process is quite simple and low effort. However, you should not expect to see results immediately. Succeeding as an Affiliate will take patience and consistency: We recommend setting aside an hour a day to do the following steps.

By using the chart in your dashboard (https://videogen.getrewardful.com/login), you can see how many Visitors and Conversions you received through your link each day.

If you are getting Visitors, great! You should expect between 0.5% and 5% of Visitors to purchase a plan, meaning if you have 1,000 Visitors, you should expect to see 5 to 50 Conversions.

Don't judge too early: Only try a new strategy if you have 500+ Visitors and 0 Conversions or if it will be too hard to get to 500+ Visitors using your current strategy.

Most failed Affiliates either spend too long on a strategy that isn't working or they change strategies super often without ever focusing on one long enough to make it work.
