Welcome to VideoGen. This guide walks you through creating your first video.
Step 1: Go to app.videogen.io and log in
Step 2: Click "Generate a video"
Step 3: Select Media
Depending on your current pricing plan, you can choose between "Standard Stock", "Generative Images", and "Premium iStock" stock libraries for your video.
Change the clip pace, the orientation (landscape, portrait, or square), or the AI narrator's voice using the controls shown in the editor.
Step 4: Enter a Prompt
Enter a prompt to have AI generate a script, and choose a writing style that fits your tone (for example, professional, friendly, or informative). When you're ready, click the arrow in the bottom-right corner to proceed.
Alternatively, skip this step and start with a blank outline to write your own script.
Step 5: Generate Video
Edit your script or add a new section—such as "Text to Video", "Title Screen", or "Write with AI"—using the "+" button.
Click the red "Generate video" button at the bottom of the screen to let VideoGen create your video.
Step 6: Edit Video
Split, delete, or change the music using the three buttons on the bottom left of the page.
Open the editing sidebar by clicking any piece of media. From there you can regenerate, upload, search for clips, and explore other editing options.
You're done—you've created your first video with VideoGen. Share or download it using the button in the top right.
