Upload your own video, audio, or image files to edit, caption, or translate in VideoGen.

The Upload workflow lets you bring existing media into VideoGen for editing. Upload video, audio, or image files and use the editor to add captions, effects, translations, and more.


When to use

Use this workflow when you:

  • Have existing video or audio files to edit

  • Want to add captions to recorded content

  • Need to translate an existing video

  • Want to enhance footage with effects and overlays


How it works

  1. Click New video and select Upload.

  2. You enter the editor with an upload prompt.

  3. Drag and drop files or click to browse.

  4. Your media is added to the timeline.

  5. Edit, add captions, translate, or enhance as needed.


Supported formats

  • Video — MP4 and common video formats

  • Audio — MP3 and common audio formats

  • Images — JPG, PNG

Maximum upload size is 1 GB per file.


What you can do after uploading

  • Add captions — Auto-generate or manually add subtitles

  • Translate — Convert to another language

  • Trim and cut — Remove unwanted sections

  • Add effects — Apply transitions, animations, and overlays

  • Combine media — Add additional clips, images, or audio
