The AI video editor workflow opens a blank project where you have full control. Build your video from scratch using stock media, AI-generated content, uploads, and the complete editor toolset.

When to use

Use this workflow when you:

  • Want to start with a blank canvas

  • Prefer manual control over every element

  • Are combining multiple media sources

  • Don't need AI-generated scripts or storyboards

How it works

  1. Click New video and select AI video editor.

  2. You enter a blank editor with all tools available.

  3. Add media from stock libraries, upload your own, or generate with AI.

  4. Arrange clips on the timeline.

  5. Add text, captions, voiceover, music, and effects.

What's available

  • Stock media — Free and premium images and videos

  • AI tools — Generate images via AI Playground, video clips, and voiceovers

  • Media library — Access your uploaded files

  • Text and captions — Add titles, subtitles, and annotations

  • Music and audio — Background tracks and sound effects

  • Recording — Capture screen, camera, or audio directly (see Record overview)

Tips

  • Use this workflow when other workflows are too structured for your needs.

  • Browse the Create panel to discover media tools.

  • Save presets to quickly apply consistent styles across projects.
